Buhari Has Recovered Remarkably – Presidency

The Presidency has again assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari has fully recovered, and is only waiting for his doctor’s go-ahead before returning to the country.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina made this known while featuring on Channels TV’s Politics Today.

Adesina said,  “The president I saw was sharp, smart and looks almost completely mended he has remarkably changed” He added.

When asked by the show’s host, Seun Okinbaloye, if Buhari is fit enough for the six-hour long return journey, Adesina said, “He (Buhari) is a man of tremendous energy and if a man has healed and has mended why not.”

Queried on whether the President thinks that he can’t be treated in Nigeria, he said, “Mr President believes you procure treatment wherever you can get it.

“It is a man who is alive that can continue to lead his family, country. if he’s dead, he’s dead. Anybody that needs treatment will go for it anywhere.”

He went on to say the president’s treatment using public funds though he added that he has no idea the cost being incurred by the permanent stationing of the presidential jet in London.

He added that the president’s 2019 ambitions are yet unknown though “he has a right to” run for a second term in office.

“Knowing the President as a straight forward person if he wants to he come out to tell Nigerians”.

He added that things have gone very bad before the Buhari-led administration took over.

“All I know is that the government today is on course and before the mandate terminates in 2019, the repair would have been made,” he said.
