Actor David Oyelowo Rejects Lunch Date Invite From Female Fan
British-Nigerian actor David Oyelowo has attracted mixed reactions from fans after he rejected a lunch date invite from a female fan.
The Hollywood actor who is currently in Paris, got an invite from a female fan who is also based there to have coffee with her.
She wrote, “David. Big fan. I’m in Paris from Toronto. Shall we meet for coffee?”
The actor, however reacted by writing, “My wife would not approve. Enjoy Paris!” in an already deleted post.
Some fans found his subtle rejection and reason good enough, while others felt he should have accepted the request.

You have no idea how quick some people can ruin everything you’ve built from scratch (career and family) over something totally not worth it. Watch the news and see how celebrities get accused and sued over things like this. You said she is showing love, how do you know? Is it your mind? Or are you her husband? What business does he have meeting with a ‘female fan’ for coffee? Or you think because she is married, she can’t have bad intentions towards him? Today’s world is too sensitive for wishes like this to be granted. Let them meet at a gathering where other fans get to meet celebrities, not one on one.
