Ambode’s statement was part of a 10-point resolution after a meeting with major stakeholders on Monday at the Lagos House.

According to the governor, there would be sanctions for shipping companies who do not comply in the utilization of holding bay.

He added that the state government has suspended approval for development of tank farms, as it accelerates the finishing of the Orile Trailer Park.

In addition, he said the truck owners must be fully registered and regulated by their unions, saying the unions would be held accountable to their adherence to extant rules and regulations.

He said that the Nigerian Ports Authority with the state government would license truck parks where trucks housed in designated parks would be given access.
