APC Okays 12 Aspirants For Anambra Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared 12 aspirants vying for its ticket to run for the position of governor of Anambra state.

The contestants are Chukwuma Paul, Madu Nonso I.; Moghalu George N., Nwibe Bart; and Nwike Patrick N.

Others are Nwoye Tony, Obidigbo Chike; Okonwko D., Onunkwo Johnbosco O.; Uba Andy E., Uchegbu Adoabi K.; and Uzoh Obinna‎.

The governorship election is slated for 18 November, 2017.

And the party’s National Organising Secretary, Osita Izunaso, said on Saturday in Abuja, that it is poised to take other parties to the cleaners on the D-Day.

He said, “I have scanned through the report and I discovered that all of you have been cleared to contest.

“They have scored you in line with the party guidelines and some of you have A’s some B’s and others C’s, but the most important thing is that you have been cleared to contest”, he said.

Meanwhile, chairman of the screening committee and deputy governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, revealed that the aspirants have all signed an undertaken to support whoever emerges as candidate.
