Nigerians are shocked over the fulfilment of the prediction by charismatic Revd. Fr. Ejike Mbaka that Hope Uzodinma will rule Imo State.

Clergyman’s Prediction 

Concise News had reported that Mbaka made the prediction in his 2020 New Year message where he claimed the Supreme Court will declare Uzodinma winner of the 2019 Imo governorship election.

He had also called on Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to start packing his bags as the “Holy Spirit” told him that the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Uzodinma has been declared as the leader of the South-East State.

“Many things are going to happen in Nigeria this 2020 that will shock countrymen and countrywomen, but all would be to God’s glory,” the clergyman had said.  “In spite of all that would happen this 2020, there is hope. In Imo State, there is hope. Hope, hope, hope … hope in Imo State!

“Imo people have suffered (but) God is raising a new hope that would be an agent of salvation for them. He’s coming with a new flag to restore the dignity of that noble land. A new leadership that will break barriers and there would be joy in the land of Imo.

“Lift your candles as I bless Hope Uzodinma; and I empower him to, spiritually, to take over. How I do not know.

“Please, if you heard that there would be a new government in Imo and you don’t like the message; if I say, Hope, you can say hopeless but do not fight me.

“I am saying this in respect to those who may want to come after me because of the message. If you do that, the God of Moses, Elijah and Elisha will deal with you. I am only a messenger of God.”

Court Ruling 

The Supreme Court on Tuesday nullified the election of Ihedioha and declared Uzodinma as the validly elected Governor of Imo State.

A seven-man panel of the apex court, led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad, unanimously delivered the judgment on Monday.

Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, who read the lead judgment, said that the votes due to Senator Uzodinma were unlawfully excluded from the 318 polling units and be added to his total votes.

According to Justice Kekere-Ekun, the submissions of a Principal witness who was on a subpoena to present results held that the lower court was wrong in its ruling.

The judge ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately withdraw the certificate of return issued to Ihedioha and directed that a fresh certificate of return should be issued to Uzodinma.

Nigerians React To Mbaka’s Fulfilled Prediction

The ruling by the court, in line with Mbaka’s prediction, has drawn comments from Nigerians who took to Twitter to wonder how the clergyman accurately saw what would happen ahead of time.

Some, however, claimed Mbaka had foreknowledge of the Supreme Court ruling from an inside source, claiming Mbaka is close to those in power.
