Omokri Reacts To UN Boko Haram Funding Claims
Ex-presidential aide Reno Omokri has said a report of Boko Haram’s backers by the United Nations shows that President Muhammadu Buhari is “untrustworthy.”
The international body identified generous contributions and extortion as some of the other means through which the group is being funded, according to a report from Kairat Umarov, the Chairperson of the UN Security Council Committee.
Reacting to the report, Omokri tweeted that “The @UN has shown how untrustworthy the @MBuhari government is.
“In March 2018, the Buhari government claimed they DID NOT pay a ransom for the release of the #DapchiGirls, but documents released by the UN showed that they DID! Random payments are funding Boko Haram #RenosDarts.”
