Pat Utomi Says 2019 Elections May Not Hold

A Delta State governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Pat Utomi has said there were strong indications that the elections in 2019 may not hold.

Speaking on Tuesday in Oyo State, the revered economist said one of the reasons the polls may not hold was that leaders in Nigeria have an obsession for themselves, forgetting about services to the masses.

Utomi insisted that primaries across parties were pointers that the elections could be affected.

He said: “Can you take seriously any of the primaries that have taken place? We are going to have all kinds of troubles. People within parties will try to sabotage one another. This will spill over. The development might lead to postponement of the elections. The signs are not the best for our democracy.”
