Customs Implements Import, Export Prohibition Measures

The Nigeria Customs Service has unveiled new import and export prohibition measures as part of the government’s food security strategy. CGC Adewale Adeniyi made the announcement during a visit to the Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace in Abuja.

Highlighting the importance of economic growth, Adeniyi stressed the Customs Service’s commitment to facilitating investment-friendly programs. In response, VON D-G Ndace expressed support for the initiative, praising the professionalism and media relations of the CGC.

Acknowledging the prevalence of misinformation surrounding Customs operations, Ndace pledged to collaborate in combating disinformation, underscoring the importance of accurate reporting. VON committed to amplifying the Customs’ narrative across its platforms, recognizing the agency’s crucial role in border management.
