US Promises To Support 2019 Elections

The United States of America has pledged to support Nigeria in conducting a free and fair election in 2019.

According to Bray, “As the 2019 election draws near, the U.S. Mission supports your efforts to provide objective and balanced reporting to the Nigerian people.”

He added that his country was putting together an election reporting training, scheduled to take place in four cities across Nigeria, and it will be co-facilitated by Voice of America’s Director of International Media Training and a renowned Nigerian journalism professor.”

He said this will help reporters to further understand their huge responsibility of reporting accurately on elections and electoral processes in the country.
