Former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ambrose Aisabo (rtd), has urged the Pro-Biafra agitators to stop beating the drum of war because ”no country can survive two civil wars”.

He stated this in reaction to the three months quite notice given to the Igbos living in the North by a group of northern youths.

”No Nigerian is praying for disintegration. Anyone praying for Nigeria to break up, the loss would be too much.

”Let those IPOP, MASSOB stop beating the drums of war because no country survives two civil wars because once it happens, you don’t know when and where it would end.

”One thing I know is that apart from Igbos and the north, no country can survive two civil wars. Igbos are living in the glass house and throwing stones,” the retired AIG said.

Restructuring

Aisabo, who stated this in an interview with Daily Trust, however urged the Federal Government to answer to the call of restructuring the country.

On the consultative meetings being championed by acting President Yemi Osinbajo, the AIG applauded the move, saying it is a step in the right direction.

He further described the meetings as ”a proactive measure and confidence building mechanism.”

”And it appears majority of Nigerians are supporting this restructuring, restructure the country so that the centre would no longer be too attractive for anybody,” he reaffirmed.
