Incestuous Father Blames The Devil For His Trangressions

A 41-year-old father who was arrested for having an incestuous relationship with his 13-year-old daughter has blamed his actions on the devil.
The man identified as Sikiru Odejide was arrested by officers at the Ogun State Police Command.
According to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the father blamed his actions on the devil.
He further disclosed that Odejide was arrested after the victim’s mother made an official complaint at the police station.
The spokesperson said the victim’s mother reported the case at the Sango Police Station, narrating how her daughter came to her house at Ijeshatedo area of Lagos state to inform her that she had been intimate with her father since December 2016.
He further quoted the victim’s mother as saying that her daughter was threatened with death by the suspect if she ever talks to anyone about it.
Oyeyemi said, “She further complained to her mother that she could no longer bear the frequent sexual assault from her father, hence she decided to inform her mother.
“The DPO of Sango Police Station, SP Akinsola Ogunwale, detailed detectives to effect the arrest of the randy father, who lives in Onihale area of Ifo Local Government Area of the state.
“The suspect, on interrogation owned up to the crime, but attributed it to the devil’s handiwork.”
The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered that Odejide be transferred to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.
“The CP equally directed that the victim be taken to hospital for proper medical attention,” Oyeyemi said.
