Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Goes Off Air After 13 Years

Popular Television quiz show, ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ Nigeria will be going off-air after 13 years of broadcast.
This follows a decision by the sponsors, MTN Nigeria, to discontinue sponsoring the show.
The maiden edition of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ Nigeria, which was modelled after the British version, was first aired on 8 October 2004.
To date, the Nigerian edition of ‘Who Wants To A Millionaire?’ only recorded one winner of the ultimate cash prize of ₦10,000,000 (Ten million Naira) which was won by Aroma Ufodike, a contestant on the episode which aired on September 11, 2009.
The latest development was made known on Twitter hours ago by the show producers, Ultima Limited, host, Frank Edoho, and confirmed by the official handle of the show.
