Sunday Anani, the Togolese cook who was arrested over the murder of Ope Bademosi, chairman of Credit Switch Technology, says he did not kill his boss.

Concise News had earlier reported that the Ondo State Police Command arrested the cook after he was alleged to have murdered Bademosi at his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday.

Giving an account of the incident during an interrogation, the Togolese cook said four unidentified persons broke into the residence of the deceased on the day he was killed.

“I am not the one who killed him. About four people entered the house that morning. They passed through the front door and opened the kitchen door,” he said.

“Immediately I asked who is that. They blew my face and neck and then started to drag me on the floor. They asked me where was chief?

“I used to call him Oga. So I asked them who be chief? I told them chief was inside his room. They said where is his wife? I said his wife had gone out. They told me if I don’t say the truth, they would kill me. They blew me again and immediately I pointed to chief’s room.”

The Togolese cook said the killers turned on the music to distract people in the neighbourhood.
