Cyntoia Brown was arrested and jailed in 2004 at 16 after she killed a 43-year-old Nashville real-estate agent Johnny Mitchell Allen.

Brown picked her up from the street where she had been living due to a horrific childhood spent in foster care by a pimp named cut-throat.

Cut-throat forced her into prostitution and she was then sold to Johnny Allen as a s*x slave.

She explained to the court that they always pointed a gun at her, hit her and dragged her all the time to get her to do their biddings.

Brown testified that she and Allen had agreed to meet up in a local hotel, instead he drove her to his home.

The teenager (at the time of this hearing) said she felt “uneasy”, after he showed her his gun collection.

“He was a sharpshooter in the Army. I’m sitting here thinking if he does something, what am I going to do?” she quizzed in her trial in 2004.

The accused comes from a family where all the women have a history of sexual abuse. It was learnt that Cyntoia, her grandmother and mother were all raped.

She said her assault made her agitated and she ended up killing Allen out of fear.

“He drove her back to his house where his strange behavior frightened her and made her want to escape. When she couldn’t sneak away, she said she wanted to nap. He lay down with her but didn’t fall asleep. He kept getting up and standing over her. She became more panicked, convinced something was going to happen to her. Finally, she shrugged off his advances and, as he rolled over, she took a gun from her purse and shot him once in the head,” she explained in the details regarding her actions.

Brown said she killed him because she feared he would kill her.

However, prosecutors argued that she robbed Allen after killing him, claiming that his pants, wallet, and some guns were in her possession when she was apprehended.
