The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has lambasted former President Olusegun Obasanjo for calling on the group to stop it agitation for Biafra and fight for the national cake.

The group in a statement released by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, wondered why elders like Obasanjo can not tell the truth about the injustices faced by the Igbos.

”We find it shameful and shocking when we heard such statement from a highly respected leader like Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who would have been in position to tell Nigerians the common truth about the resolve of IPOB and it’s leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to restore Biafra.

”The plots by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and his cohorts to stop us or silence the efforts by IPOB members to restore Biafra will never work, we promise them because Biafra is on lips of everybody now.

”The move by Chief Obasanjo and the vice president Yemi Osibanjo will only harden our hearts and strengthen our resolve to get Biafra in no distant future.

”As each day goes by more and more people have come to accept the fact that the fight for Biafra cause is a genuine one,” the group said.

  1. I think it is a nice point of view. I most often meet people who rather say what they suppose others want to hear. Good and well written! I will come back to your site for sure!
