West African Idol participant and Kuchie Kuchie crooner, Jodie, has revealed in a recent interview that her son Chinua is a child with special needs.

The singer who had a revealing interview with Linda Ikeji TV, said her son had been diagnosed with a rare case of Lissencephaly and Cerebral Palsy, which is closely related to the brain.

According to Jodie, Chinua may die before he reaches two.

In her words:”When I was having my baby, I thought I was going to die. Then my husband at the time was in the room. At that time, I said to myself:

‘If I am going to die let me know my kid is fine’.

I saw myself in a void that was a step between life and death and it occurred to me that there are songs that I haven’t released.

I said to myself: “If I die now, that means I won’t be able to release the song”. My son didn’t cry for 9 hours, he cried miraculously,” she said

The actress didn’t want to talk about her Nollywood actor husband David Nnaji.

“He was diagnosed with Lissencephaly and Cerebral Palsy. The doctor said there is no cure, so we should just manage it. They tell you your child may not walk, may not talk, and he may die before he is 2 years old. I take him out when I want to, when I can. Sometimes, we don’t know why certain things happen, we really don’t know,” she said with deep emotions.
