The Chairman, Benue chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC),  Abba Yaro, has said the party is becoming popular in the state.

Yaro, Concise News, noted that President Muhammadu Buhari’s win in Benue State meant that the belief that the APC is a Miyetti Allah party has been shattered.

He told Vanguard that “What happened in Benue State showed that we in the All Progressives Congress are more popular and more loved by the people than people in the PDP.

“It also indicated the level of great love the people of Benue State have for President Muhammadu Buhari, who was the APC presidential candidate.”

According to him, “The outcome of that election further confirmed the acceptability of Buhari by Nigerians and Benue State residents.

“It showed that President Buhari during his first term actually performed and ensured good governance.

“In Benue State, even with the orchestrated campaign of calumny against President Buhari, we recorded high votes for President Buhari.

“The result declared by INEC showed that the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, defeated Buhari by about seven votes.

“Their campaign of calumny did not work. They said that Buhari killed many people. Buhari did this and that; and that APC is Miyetti Allah party.”
