D’Tigers Ready To Defend FIBA Title – Ike Diogu

The captain of the Nigerian men basketball team, D’Tigers, Ike Diogu, says the team is ready to go defend the African title it won at the next FIBA men basketball championship in Tunisia.

“Obviously, representing Nigeria team is the highest honour you can have. I love being a Nigerian, I love being the captain of this team.

“I love the fact that I have been a part of many successful teams and our goal is to go to Tunisia and defend our crown.

Preparation

While lamenting on the poor preparation ahead of the tournament, Diogu said the lads have no choice than to just work with what is on ground.

“Well this is what we have to work with. Obviously, there were some things out of our control in terms of new federation coming in.

“So, we are happy to be here, guys are really playing hard. All we can do is to go out there and play our best and see what happens as we prepared to the best of our abilities.

“We have some good guys here. So, am excited to see what is happening.”
