2019 Elections Talk A Distraction – Gov Tambuwal

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has stated that discussions about the 2019 general elections are distractive and unhelpful to all office holders.

Speaking to newsmen on Thursday, the governor said election matters should be discussed when 2019 approaches.

He said: ”By the time you raise issues about 2019 in 2017, you are distracting the entire polity. Discuss 2019 when the election season is upon us; but for now, let us discuss governance issues.”

Tambuwal said elective office holders needed to discuss more about governance.

He reiterated commitment towards good governance in the state.

Speaking on President Muhammadu Buhari, the governor noted that he had recorded significant successes in the fight against insurgency and corruption.

Tambuwal stated that his economic policies were equally yielding positive results.
