Nigeria have crashed out of the race to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics women’s football tournament after playing out a 1-1 draw with Cote d’Ivoire at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.

Concise News reports that the reigning African champions had last week Thursday played 0-0 in Abidjan and with Monday’s result, the Ivorian ladies progress to the penultimate round of the qualification series against Cameroon.

The visitors took the lead through Nina Kpaho’s free kick that beat goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.

Skipper Asisat Oshoala equalised for the Super Falcons, before Francisca Ordega missed a chance to make it 2-1.
