America’s top movie awards, the Golden Globes shook it’s wings on Saturday, January 8, in Beverly Hills with some ups and downs all over Us magazine.

Before going down to who went home with what award, the sparks and glamour are the memories that lingers always in any award organized or attended.

Golden Globes 2017 The Ups and Downs

While La La Land swooped majority of the Golden Globes awards, there were a whole lot of mixing and missing of names and possibly unacceptable jokes, from Jenna Bush Hager getting confused about the name of the film Pharrell Williams was nominated “So, you’re nominated for Hidden Fences,” she said, Meanwhile Pharrell Williams was actually nominated for Hidden Figure, albeit, Fences is set in the 1950’s and stars Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. Pharrell wore a confused look and some side eye, in a Nigerian context, it’ll be best captioned as “Like seriouzly?” or “Are you serious?” “Didn’t you carefully go through the nomination list?” Well, Hidden Figure and Hidden Fences are both black movies, that’s probably why you mixed both titles.

The teleprompter broke, interrupting the host Jimmy Fallon, who quickly salvaged the situation and in trying sarcasm, shaded the “We belong together” singer in the wake of her New Year’s Eve lip sync fiasco Fallon said “I just talked to Mariah Carey, and she thinks Dick Clark Productions sabotaged my monologue,” Maybe Mariah won’t mind as she might be busy trying to promote her reality TV show Mariah’s World.

Ryan Gosling made the most emotional appreciation speech ever, which left millions of collective gasp when he gave a shot at his partner and “Baby mama” Eva Mendes, “My lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second, and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer,” he said. “If she hadn’t have taken all that on so that I could have this experience, it would surely be someone else up here other than me today. So sweetheart, thank you.” what a charm.

Perhaps the excitement of Gosling’s win, made Ryan Reynold forget where his wife Blake Lively sat as he kissed Andrew Garfield with Blake cheering on, she really didn’t see it.
