Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho is playing poorly because his coaches at Leicester City and the Super Eagles “don’t know how to use him,” former coach Samson Siasia has said.

Siasia, who refereed to Iheanacho as a ‘special kind of a player,’ made the remark on the back of the player’s failure to put away a glorious chance against his former side Manchester City in an English Premier League clash on Monday.

City go into the final round of fixtures ahead of Liverpool in the title race after winning 1-0 at the Etihad thanks to Vincent Kompany’s wonderful strike.

“I think the coaches don’t know how to use him. Iheanacho is a special kind of a player that they need to know the right position to play him if you don’t use him well he will never shine that’s why he’s having problem with the super eagles, too,” brila.net quote the former Super Eagles coach as saying.

“They don’t know how to play him, but is one of the best goal finishers we have in the country today, but the problem here is how do you play him is the issues the coaches are having with him.”
