Spokesman For Enugu APC Guber Candidate Defects To PDP

Steve Oruruo, the spokesman for the Senator Ayogu Eze campaign organisation has defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Eze is the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu state. He unveiled Oruruo as his spokesman a few days ago.

Oruruo announced his defection during the inauguration of the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi campaign office in Nkanu West on Thursday.

Giving reasons for his decision, Oruruo said elders of Nkanu land and members of the PDP in the area compelled him to return to the PDP and work for Ugwuanyi’s reelection.

Oruruo was welcomed back to PDP by thousands of party faithful who converged on the rally in Agbani.

In a related development, Mike Onuh, the Director of the campaign organisation of the APC Enugu East Senatorial candidate, Prince Lawrence Eze, has also joined the PDP.
