Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that his side is hungry and in good shape and form.
This sends a message to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as United overtake them to top the English Premier League table.
United topped the table after beating Burnley with a lone goal from Paul Pogba which came in the 71st minute,
Daily Star quoted Solskjaer: “Of course we know we’re going to the champions, they’ve had an unbelievable three-and-a-half seasons.
“We know it’s going to be a difficult game for us but we’re ready for it.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better time to play them because we’re in good shape, good form, hungry, that’s the big thing, these boys are hungry.
“They want to get better and that’s the test again. A test of character and a test of quality.”
Pogba who has received plenty of praise for his performance at Turf Moor, has urged his team-mates to stay focused on the task at hand rather than their current league position.
He said: “We know that the game today was very hard, very difficult and obviously we wanted to win.
“We know it’s not easy to play here. We got the three points and we’re happy for that but there’s still a long way and now we focus again until the end of the season.”
