Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Shehu Sani has told the Muslim Solidarity Forum to engage Bishop Mathew Kukah in a debate instead of telling him to leave Sokoto where he heads the Catholic Diocese.
Concise News reported that the Muslim Solidarity Forum told Kukah to leave Sokoto State over “his malicious vituperations against Islam and Muslims”.
Recall that Kukah had in a Christmas message faulted the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He accused Buhari of running a government with nepotism and a northern agenda.
In reaction, the MSF accused Kukah of trying to break the peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians in Sokoto.
Reacting to the Forum’s statement, Shehu Sani tweeted, “My Dear Muslim Forum Sokoto, go in peace and meet Kukah in his Parish, engage him in a debate and defeat or win him over with your superior argument; be a tolerant host, no need to threaten or ‘expel him’. Don’t set a precedent for ‘Quit noticing the messenger,’”
