Former spokesperson of the ruling All Progressives Congress Timi Frank has commended Senate President, Bukola Saraki, for exhibiting what he called courage during his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

The tribunal on Wednesday ruled that the Senate President had no case to answer in the 18-count charge against him over allegations of false declaration of assets during his time as governor of Kwara state..

Sequel to the ruling by the CCT chairman, Danladi Umar, Frank said, “it was initially a mere political victimisation engineered by a section of the ruling class.”

Frank, who spoke through a statement, also commended the tribunal for allowing justice to prevail.

He thanked all the party leaders and supporters who never gave up on Saraki during the trial.

The APC chieftain further called on the Executive and Legislative arms of government to work in unison for the progress of the nation

“Now that the case has been laid to rest, I call on our leaders to come together and form a united force for the sake of our party and the progress of Nigeria project,” he added.
