Manchester United interim manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reacted to his side away victory against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.

Solskjaer was full of praise for his Manchester United players after they completed an exhausting schedule with a triumph at Crystal Palace.

According to the coach, he said: “It’s a great away win.”

It was a record-breaking victory as the team secured eighth successive away win in the 2018/19 English Premier League season.

Romelu Lukaku was in his best of form as the Belgian international was able to step into the shoes of injured Marcus Rashford scoring two goals.

Ashley Young’s late strike help seal the win for the Red Devils as they remained on course for the top four race.

Solskjaer said: “After the weekend with Liverpool, and Chelsea and PSG before that I was always wary of this game.

“It was always going to be tough, but we started really well which is always vital when you come to Selhurst Park. We controlled the game really well in the second half.

“You don’t like to concede but it was a chance to see how they reacted, and they reacted fantastically; took the ball, never got flustered, kept going and their third goal was fantastic.”

Solskjaer singled out Luke Shaw and Lukaku for praise after the victory set a new club record for consecutive wins on the road.

Shaw carried on from where he left off against Liverpool with another solid display which laid the foundation for Lukaku’s opener and United’s victory.

“Luke Shaw is in a good vein of form at the moment, he’s hard to stop, is so sharp and quick, and it was a great drive for the first goal,” Solskjaer added.

“That set us up for the rest of the game and allowed us to control the game more.

“Lukaku has been putting a shift in for the team, playing wide right or wide left, doing loads more running than he normally does.

“Today he was a number nine again and he got two goals. Fantastic.” He concluded.
