Presidential Election 2019: INEC Declares Buhari Winner
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the 2019 Presidential election.
Concise News reports that Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC Chairman made the declaration at the National Collation Centre in Abuja at about 4:38 am on Wednesday.
Buhari polled 15,191,847 votes to defeat his main rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 11,262,978 votes. That is a difference of 3.9 million votes after the official announcement of results from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

With this development, Buhari 76, will serve for another four years when his current tenure expires on May 29, 2019.
President Buhari and the Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, are expected to receive their Certificates of Return at 2 pm today (Wednesday).
