Pregnant Wife Kills Husband Over Foodstuff
A pregnant mother of three has been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly killing her husband over foodstuff.
The woman, Halima, was said to have allegedly killed Ibrahim Ismail in their house in Nasarawa Demsa Community, Numan area of the state.
It was gathered that she is expecting their fourth child.
It was further learnt that Halima had been married to the deceased, who is a businessman, for over five years.
A source told PUNCH that he heard that the couple fought over the food items which the businessman bought.
The source said, “Around 5.30am on Thursday, I heard my wife shouting and screaming. I asked her what happened and she said the wife of our next-door neighbour had killed him.
“When I got to the man’s house, I saw him in a pool of blood. There were a lot of sympathisers in his room, mostly women.
“When I tried to talk to him, he could not answer back and appeared lifeless. The wife had also been apprehended.”
The report further read that it was when he enquired about the incident that he found out that the deceased bought food items from the market for his wife to prepare, however, he did not find her at home when he returned.
After the incident, policemen from the Numan division, arrived at the scene and nabbed the pregnant mother, while her husband was rushed to a general hospital where he was confirmed dead by a doctor.
