Police Promise Adequate Security During Plateau LG Polls

The Plateau State Police Command has pronised to provide adequate security and ensure peaceful atmosphere during the February 17 Local Government elections in the state.

The State Commissioner of Police, Undie Adie, gave the assurance during a press briefing held in the command’s headquarters in Jos.

Adie denied rumor making the round that election would not hold in the Jos North local government area due to insecurity, adding that the command was working with other security agencies to ensure peace in every nook and cranny in the state.

The police boss added that security challenges in the state had been less and that normalcy was beginning to return even in the trouble ares.

He, however, called on the residents to provide the police with any useful information that would help curb criminality in the state.
