Obiano Tells S’East Govs To Join APGA
Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has asked his colleagues in the South-East to join the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) if they wish to be re-elected in the 2019 general election.
Obiano stated this on Thursday at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
The governor described APGA as the “South-East hurricane,” adding that many serving Senators and House of Representatives members from the geo-political zone had approached him to join APGA.
Describing APGA as the Igbo philosophy and identity, Obiano said, “What we are telling everybody now is to join APGA within a reasonable time to be able to get the chance to contest election on our platform in 2019.”
Obiano, who described the January 13 senatorial rerun in the state as a simple mathematics, said the APGA candidate for the election, Victor Umeh, would “crush any opposition” in the race.
