Francis Uzoho may not feature for Nigeria in a crucial 2019 Africa cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Johannesburg due to injury.

It was learned that the 20-year-old shot stopper suffered a concussion while manning the goal for his Spanish club Elche, who were beaten 5-1 by Cadiz on Sunday.

The goalie, according to reports, was taken to the San Rafael Clinic for treatment and was discharged afterwards.

It was also learned that complimentary tests would be done on him to further find out the level of the injury.

The former Nigeria youth international, who conceded four goals in 12 minutes on Sunday, was one of 23 players called up for Nigeria’s visit to South Africa for the Group E showdown on 17 November.

The three-time African champions lead the group on 9 points, while Bafana Bafana, who stunned the Eagles in the first leg in Uyo, are in second position with eight points.
