Former Enyimba defender Chima Akas has signed a three-year deal with Swedish club Kalmar FF.

It was gathered that Akas, after an impressive trial with the Swede side, was handed a permanent deal.

He had turned down an invite to play for Nigeria at the African Nations Championship going on in Morocco to secure the move.

“I’m a fast-paced player who plays as a left back,” he told Kalmar FF’s official website. “I’m also a good ball winner and a good crosser as well.”

He was Nigeria’s captain at the CHAN 2016 in Rwanda and last played for Enyimba.
