Netherlands Win On Sneijder’s Farewell

Midfielder Wesley Sneijder enjoyed a winning farewell in his last match for the Netherlands asĀ Ronald Koeman’s side recovered from a 1-0 deficit to beat Peru 2-1 in Amsterdam.

Goals from Memphis Depay were all the Dutch side needed to emerge as winners on the night.

Pedro Aquino put the South Americans ahead in the 13th minute before Depay levelled on the hour.

The former Manchester United winger later settled the contest seven minutes from time.

Sneijder played 62 minutes of what was his 134th and last appearance for the Netherlands.
