Montenegro vs England: Sancho Out As Hudson-Odoi Set To Make First Start

Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi who made his international debut for the Three Lions against the Czech Republic is set to start for the English National team.

Hudson-Odoi who came off the bench in Friday’s win over the Czech Republic will now earn his start against Montenegro on Monday in the Euro 2020 qualifier.

The teenager has been afforded limited playing time at Stamford Bridge, with Maurizio Sarri appearing reluctant to play the 18-year-old ahead of Pedro or Willian on a consistent basis in the Premier League.

According to reports, Jordan Sancho who was impressive against the Czech Republican might be left out of the teams as he is said to have picked up a minor injury.

Hudson-Odoi has featured off the bench in just six league games this season, but he has played a part in every Europa League game so far, scoring four goals and recording two assists in his eight appearances in the competition.

He also managed a goal and two assists from two starts against Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup.

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is also being considered for a first start after Eric Dier picked up an injury on Friday while Dele Alli and Jordan Henderson will undergo late fitness tests before the starting XI is named.
