John Obi Mikel scored for Tianjin Teda in their 4-2 defeat to Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super league on Sunday.

The former Chelsea midfielder, who has not featured for the Super Eagles since he led them to the World Cup in Russia, equalised for Tianjin in the 22nd minute after Giovanni Andres Moreno had put Shanghai Shenhua ahead.

But they could not withstand their visitors, as Shanghai turned the tie around by scoring three times to make it 4-2 on the road.

The last time Mikel scored was against Guangzhou R&F in April, 2018.
