Messi Overtakes Ronaldo As Player With The Most Free-Kick Goals For A Club

Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi has become the player with the most free-kick goals for a single club.

The Argentine achieved the record when he scored a free-kick against Grenada in the game which ended 4-0.

Messi who scored a brace in the game has 48 free-kick goals (37 in LaLiga) which surpass Ronaldo’s record at Real Madrid (47, 32 in league).

Messi will now hope to continue his remarkable form for Barcelona when they face Real Sociedad in the Spanish Super Cup on Wednesday.

The victory against Granada means Barcelona are now in the third position on the La Liga table with 34 points from 18 games.
