Maryam Sanda, wife of the deceased son of former PDP chairman, Bilyaminu Muhammad Bello has been arraigned at the Federal High Court Jabi, Abuja.

She was arraigned alongside her mother, Maimuna Sanda, her brother Aliyu Sanda and a lady identified as Sadiya.

The three of them entered a not guilty plea to the trial of culpable homicide and tampering with the scene of a crime.

The counsel to the defendant, Joseph Daudu, requested for bail with a medical report for Maryam, who is a nursing mother, urging the court to acknowledge that fact and argued that in the case of the others, their offences are bailable.

The prosecutor Jacob Idachaba, insisted that the fact that Maryam is a nursing mother is not sufficient reason for her to make a bail plea.

For the other three defendants, he ordered that they be remanded pending the final verdict of their trial.
