Lokosa’s Double Deepens Heartland In Relegation Pit

Junior Lokosa increased his goals tally to 16 with two strikes as Kano Pillars overpowered bottom side Heartland 2-0 on Sunday in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Lokosa found the net in the 16th and 47th minutes of the game played at a packed Sani Abacha stadium in Kano.

Pillars are third in the standings on 28 points, six less than leaders Lobi Stars, who were two minutes away from securing a win at Sunshine Stars in a dramatic game that finished 1-1.

As for Heartland, their battle to escape relegation has suffered another setback and as the league enters the second stanza, their chances of survival is getting darker.
