Reigning top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Junior Lokosa, is eager to lay down the marker in his first game for the Super Eagles.

The in-form marksman, who has found the net for Kano Pillars 18 times in 20 games this season, is one of 30 players called up for Monday’s friendly against Congo DR.

The game is a tune-up for this year’s Fifa World Cup in Russia.

”I can’t wait to play my first game for the Super Eagles. It has been my ambition right from when I started playing football and it’s very close now,” Lokosa said in a chat with Complete Sports.

“The atmosphere in camp is great and it’s been a wonderful experience for me. The old guys have helped me to settle down well.

“We are all looking forward to the game against DR Congo on Monday and I hope I will get the chance to play.”
