“Sorry” best fits an incident that can be repaired but when the damage is permanent, “sorry” becomes the most dreaded word.

Favour Gabriel in full devastation, narrates how her three children John Oluwadare 15, Elizabeth Adam 9, and Blessed Adam 6, were electrocuted in their Eku home in Delta State.

According to Vanguard, the unfortunate incident occurred as a result of the electricity cable connecting their apartment along Eku-Abraka Road from the national grid, coming in contact with a burglary the children were holding at a time of power rage.

Children Electrocuted as mother buys bread

At the time of the incident, it was reported that Favour went to buy bread for her children.

The woman who recounted her ordeal to Vanguard on Tuesday, said she was surprised to see people gathered at her apartment, when she got back from where she went to buy bread for her children.

“I never knew something serious that will alter my destiny had happened. On getting to my apartment, I was told what happened,” she said.

The bereaved mother of three explained that she did not know when she reached the hospital her children were rushed to, only to find their lifeless bodies.

“It was like my entire world had collapsed,” she added.

According to a neighbour who spoke on the grounds of anonymity with Vanguard, “We ran into our houses when we noticed the spark on Saturday night.

That was when the children were electrocuted because they were holding onto the burglary proof of their apartment,” she added.
