Leaders Lobi Stars missed a chance to grab three points at Sunshine Stars on Sunday as the Akure Gunners battled back to earn a 1-1 draw in a dramatic game.
Two goals in two minuted settled the pulsating contest in Akure.
The Makurdi side took the lead through Samad Kadri in the 88th minute, before Jide Fatokun equalised in the 90th minute.
Sikiru Alimi, Sunshine attacker, had missed a spot kick in the 49th minute.
In other games, league leading scorer Junior Lokosa increased his tally to 16 as Kano Pillars defeated bottom-placed Heartland 2-0.
