Kenyan Sex Workers Protest Colleague’s Murder (Photos)

Commercial sex workers in Mombasa, Kenya, came out en mass to stage a protest over the alleged killing of their colleague.

According to Crime Alerts, the dead body of the unidentified sex worker was found on Saturday, by some domestic workers who came to clean the hotel rooms.

The protesting sex workers held placards with different slogans such as ‘Sex workers: don’t kill them’, ‘Sex workers have right to live’

Some of the deceased’s colleagues claimed to have seen the deceased making an entry into the hotel with a man.

The security official who spoke on the case was Mombasa Director of Criminal Investigation, Jacob Kanake.

He said that investigations are being carried out, as the club owners and several others who were present during the period she was murdered are being thoroughly questioned.

Konake said that they found “only used condoms in the room as the suspect is still at large.”

The director also said the alleged killer who is believed to have been with the deceased before her death is being trailed.
