Juventus Manager Allegri Rejects Real Madrid Job

Juventus Manager, Max Allegri has reportedly rejected an offer to become Real Madrid’s new manager following Zinedine Zidane’s resignation.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez approached Allegri through former AC Milan CEO, Adriano Galliani, who acted as an intermediary.

According to the Italy newspaper, Allegri, who was high on Real’s list of candidates to replace the departed Zidane, turned down the offer because he has firm plans for his future at Juve.

It claims that the 50-year-old wants to build a mini dynasty in Turin, akin to former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign at Old Trafford.

Speaking about his future at Juventus, Allegri told reporters: “I have a great relationship with the club and we are in total sync which is being demonstrated in the last four years.

“The team was turned upside down after the first year and the club did very well to pair the existing group of good quality players with a group of new players.

“Apart from an amazing technical skill set, they have very solid values. At the end of the day you need that in football.

“So when it is all said and done we will sit at the table and plan the future as we have always done with a clear mind.”
