Joke Silva Lauds Ambode For Making Creative Industry In Lagos Thrive

Nollywood screen diva and ace actress, Joke Silva has hailed the Lagos state government for the great movement in making the creative industry in the state thrive.

The actress who granted NAN an interview on Tuesday said that she was convinced that the Akinwunmi Ambode administration recognised the potential in the sector and sustained its investment.
“We have to give it to the Lagos State Governor (Akinwunmi Ambode) for having the vision and understanding.” she said
She added that the Governor “understands what the creative industries, what the creative economy can do for the people at large, that is why he is doing everything he is doing.
“He gets it so well, he gets it, the impact, the soft diplomacy, the impact on the economy itself, the impact on the GDP, he is so aware of it.
“So he is doing everything because he knows it works.”
She however advised the Governor to intensify it’s effort by helping young and upcoming talents in its programmes, making the abundant opportunities in the industry open to them.
