Governor Shettima Dissolves Cabinet

Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State on Tuesday dissolved the state executive council.

The Secretary to the State Government, Usman Jidda Shuwa, who announced the decision in a statement, gave no reason for the decision.

Shettima directed all the commissioners to hand over the affairs to their ministries to the respective permanent secretaries before Friday.

The SSG conveyed the “profound appreciation” of Governor Kashim Shettima to the outgoing commissioners for their services and contributions “to the unprecedented developmental progress recorded by the administration”.

He said the governor wishes all the former Commissioners the very best in their future endeavors.

Shuwa also conveyed the government’s appreciation to all those who supported the commissioners in the discharge of their duties.
