Jumoke Akindele, the impeached Ondo State House of Assembly Speaker, has withdrawn her suit filed at the State High Court against the Clerk of the House and 13 other lawmakers, the Nation reports.
The ousted Speaker, in a letter addressed to the Registrar, High Court 8 and the defence counsel, signified her intention to cease proceedings against the defendants in the case.
Akindele’s counsel, Olumide Ogidan, withdrew the case when it was called up for hearing on Tuesday. The defence counsel, Charles Titiloye, did not oppose the withdrawal nor did he claim damages or cost.
Justice Aderemi Adegoroye, the sitting judge, struck out the suit.
