President Muhammadu Buhari has received the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Aso Villa on Thursday.
This is their first meeting since the EndSARS protests of October 2020.
Sanwo-Olu had visited Buhari last year, shortly after the protests, to present the damages suffered by Lagos State at the hands of hoodlums who hijacked the protests.
Today’s meeting which is currently ongoing sees Sanwo-Olu presenting a book containing the progress achieved by the state since the damage it suffered.
The EndSARS protests were in demand for an end to police brutality and bad governance in Nigeria.
The protests led to the government disbanding the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
