Buhari Meets With Service Chiefs Over Security Threat

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday had a closed-door meeting with Service chiefs at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Concise News reports that the meeting is likely to dwell on the security situation in the country and how to ensure maximum security in states where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is conducting rerun election on Saturday, March 23.

In attendance are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali; as well as the National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno.

The security chiefs at the meeting are the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.

Also present are Chief of Naval Staff, Ibok Ekwe Ibas; acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu; and Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, among others.
