Boko Haram Not Defeated – Senator Kyari

Senator Abubakar Kyari (APC/Borno North) has said he will not go with the claim that the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group has been defeated.
He made this known while submitting a motion on Wednesday on the attacks by Boko Haram on the University of Maiduguri.
Kyari said there were available information that the terrorists were gathering for yet another attack on unknown location.
The lawmaker said that claims that the terrorists are defeated are rather immaterial owing to series of attacks they have been carrying out on innocent citizens in Borno state.
He stated that the University is about the only federal high institution in the state, as such, there is the need for the Federal Government to do something urgently to stop incessant attacks on the institution.
Kyari said that urgent attention ought to be given in addressing the problem and ensure the insurgents do not cripple academic activities in the University.
